    Ive used smf too on a few recent websites I setup. I cant say I love the admin panel, but I do know that their updating feature is extremely nice.

    Vbulletin is the best - SEO'd to the hilt, most top sites seem to like the recent variants. Oh, and it's pretty easy to install.
