Which format of blog is effective for SEO?

    I have a wordpress blog which is my domain blog. But my blog is as subdomain that is it is in http://blog.mydomain.com format. Is Google consider my each blog page as my site's page if it is in this format?

    I want to know which format is effective for my site SEO - http://blog.mydomain.com or http://www.mydomain.com/blog/ ?

    Please give me your suggestion.

    you can use this way..
    http://www.mydomain.com/blog/

    because google will index your website pages, subdomain is like a new website for google so subdomain and domain are 2 websites not the same 1.
