which firewall is best for windows xp?

do you use any kind of firewall? curious to know what firewall you use in your PC.

which is best? any good firewall for free?

i tried antivirus looks like many virus/worms find a way to bypass the scanner one way or other. i figured out firewall is the best to block unwanted programs.

Let me know what you think!

BTW: i used comodo firewall (free) and looks promising.

I have used ZoneAlarm and have liked it. Currently I stick with my d-Link EBR-2310 ( i know this is more of a router, but it does have the NAT and SPI firewall). So far I like it and it works great.

 

I have been using only Zonealarm for my firewall and it works great!

 

Praying to God is the best firewall of all.

 

Winroute firewall works best for me.

 

I have also used Zonealarm once, but from around 2 years I am with Armor2net plus antivurus of course(f-secure) and I am pretty satisfied. Btw Bitdefender is also not bad..

 

Honestly, I feel that Kaspersky is the best firewall for any windows platform. It's not free, but you can protect 3 PC's for 79.95 a year which is a great deal. I have been using it for years and have never been infected/attacked.

 

I have tried lots of firewalls, zone alarm sems to be good but now I have nothing, But I have NOD32 Antivirus

I agree, I am using COMODO and its great, no problems at all,

and its 100% free too

 

Best firewall is a hardware one, use a Router.

 

I am satisfied with comodo. It is the best one for me.

 

I had ZoneAlarm, was happy with it.
