which film was so hyped up, then you were disappointed?

some films are so hyped up, we always expect so much from them, but in my experience they rarely deliver.
cannot share in others enthusiasm for 'pirates of the carribean', was expecting to have my socks blown off, but was very very bored.
one of the few films that did not disappoint me was 'titanic'. and another, that was not hyped up at the time but pressed all the right buttons for me, was 'closer'.

 

can't believe you just said that about Pirates of the Caribbean!! Loved them all!

A film that was all hyped up and then I found disappointing was Spider Man 3. Didn't much like it to be honest. I guess it wasn't to much hyped up but still, was quite disappointed. Oh and Hot Fuzz...from what I'd been told I thought it was gonna be great, but oh no!

legens of the fall was the worst, the the tibet one.-ov course t2 what the best. Pirate of the carriebien was and upset, but i think they pulled it off overall

 

One that came out a couple of years ago was Pearl Harbor. I thought it would turn out to be a great movie with a solid story as well as great action scenes. It was awful! The love story was pathetic and the acting was very poor and unbelievable. About the only thing decent were the attack scenes and they took too long to get to!

This summer so far I have been disappointed with the new Fantastic Four movie....utterly lame and dumb jokes throughout it.

 

I'd have to go with the third Matrix film - such a dissapointment. It could have been so good.

the second one was a bit of a down... I personally was very disappointed with The Lord of the Rings.

 

getjimmy read my mind on this one.. absolutely spiderman 3. 1&2 were great, 3 was pretty much "meh". I wasn't expecting a love story, was expecting a superhero movie!

 

I'd say War of the Worlds. All people were talking about it, and when I went to the premiere I almost fell asleep. One of the worst movies I've ever seen.

A lot of people say that they didn't like Spider-Man 3 but what was your issue with it? A friend told me when Peter started the crazy dance sequence the movie jumped the shark right there. I thought it was in character for what he was going through (under the influence of the Venom creature). So what was it that caused a lot of people to dislike this movie?

 

I think it would be spider man 3 and epic movie. i was so much waiting for epic movie and it turned out so crappy!
