I am going to be making an eCommerce site selling tangible goods for a client but need help deciding which script to use. The script needs to be: -VERY SEO friendly (I plan on powering through in the serps) -Template friendly (I plan on paying someone to create a custom template) -Very customizable and coded in PHP -Related products feature (User views iPod - sees iPod cases, Zune, etc) -Coupon option -Cost under $100 If anything like that exists please let me know. Thanks in advance
I would suggest oSCommerce its free, and there are devlopers out there that mod it for cheap, plus there are also tons of themes(templates) for it.
Definitely go for osCommerce... it has a brilliant support community and the product is quite advanced and very configurable. I use osCommerce on an ecommerce site of my own and have been for 4 years. I have modified it extensively as well.... it is a brilliant piece of software!
I recently reviewed ashopcommerce.com. They are not free-- however for a complete end to end solution, I think they are pretty good. Q...
Try Avactis shopping cart. Avactis Cart has very clean backend, SEO friendly and very easy to customize storefront design. If you are web developer they will give you the first copy FREE of charge and other copies will cost less than $100.
Oscommerce is very good. Shopping cart scripts http://www.hotscripts.com/PHP/Scripts_and_Programs/E-Commerce/Shopping_Carts/index.html
It takes time to learn the code to be able to modify it though as the basic script does not have user friendly urls, SE friendliness, etc.
You can use the free available shopping cart scripts like OScommerce, Zencart, Cubecart, etc. Also if you need any help regarding installation or listings, let me know.
