Hi guys so i have to chose between either 16bars.org or my16bars.com I dont want to give any info out on the site yet but if you had to chose which one would be better for memorization and SERPs? Thanks!
If it's a membership based site or something where people do things on it, I'd go with my16bars.com. Otherwise, I'd use 16bars.org. You could always have one redirect to the other too though.
Yeah im going to have them redirect to eachother. It wont be a membership site to start off with right away but after i get more users i could turn it into one. Thanks for the input.
Yes it would be better to go with my16bars.com. From what I have read most people automatically think .com as opposed to anthing else like .org .net etc.
This all depends on what the site is. Raw I like 16bars.org as it's much easier to remember. While .com will always take priority in memorability, sometimes its better to take the lesser extension when the .com name has too much to remember. Besides, .org is commonly advertised on tv and the general public is well aware of it. Again, depends on the site's function.
agree, depends on the site you want to create, 90 % of the situations .com is better if your site is not an organization or something non-profit, this is how i see the things
my16bars.com is easier to remmeber and it ends with a .com which gives u the edge....for rememberance
