I just found some market to get in but a little problem is, domain with my specific name had been registered for almost all extensions except 2 - .us and .biz. My question is, which one should I choose if I want to sell something for us people.
Sxperm, I have stated this before in other posts... I am a domainer myself and having worked briefly for a registrar, my personal belief is that .com shall always rule. Reason - We are conditioned to type in .com. When is the last time you typed in .net or .info ...Much less .us or .biz, which you are thinking of going with? I have to say I would honestly never buy a darn thing from any site that has a .us or .biz as its primary extension. My suggestion is to get a new name that is .com. May not be ideal, but at least it is a .com. -=Chipmunk=-
I agree with chipmunk, if this is a website you wanna stay for long, then find yourself nice .com or try to buy it from some one else. I have a .co.il domain and i stick with it because it's local domain, although you have .us, most Americans (and world wide) don't use it.
Thanks Chipmunk your post made me clear about choice and I just adapt some character into domain to grab .com Could you recommend me some domain services? Namecheap or Godaddy or Netfirms or somewhere else
Thanks wounded1987 for the thumbs up & good advice on the .us Sxperm - You are welcome! I have used a number of registrars and I would truly suggest Moniker.com hands down. Their prices are good, their security is top notch and their support team is around when you need them. In addition, the head of the company (Monte) is in-house and hands-on! You can contact John M. or Bari over there. Either will take good care of you. Let them know I sent you over...they may even give you a better rate than usual. -=Chipmunk=-
I prefer goDaddy for domain registration and .com for the extension When I see a nice site that is not a .com I ten to see what site that .com has and tend to type .com next time when I try to go to that site. That is a common thing I think and so, I prefer .com
