Which domain reseller program is the best?

Please answer this question if you are only currently a domain reseller.

Taking the following into consideration, which is the best reseller?

    1. Ease of setting up and administering the control panel, users, etc.

    2. Choice of services that you can offer (or not offer) to your customers, such as DNS, email forwarding, hosting, etc.

    3. Technical support - best support - average support - terrible support?

    4. Price. Many options? Few options? High price? Low price?

    Thanks for participating!

I am using GoDaddy's Reseller program, it's really easy to set up everything, but there are alot of limitations, you can't sell a specific product in a price that you really want.. For example you want to sell domains for cheap without any revenue, godaddy doesn't allow you to do that! You can't create custom coupons and you can't make you promotions, before I became a reseller I thought I could make something like 3 .net domians for $20 :) but I can't do this.. There are alot of fees, transection fee 0.25 per purchase, %2.5 of CC/PayPal fee + ICANN fee approximately you pay $0.8 per domain just for fees but thats in all reseller plans I guess directi, enom etc.. but on the other hand you can track the source of your customers, you can create affiliate links etc.. And the templates are really customizable, you can assign special customers who can buy the domains by a discounted price, for example a cost for a .com domain is $x for you those customers buy the .com for that rate thats really cool. And Godaddy allows you to make some promotions, if they have a promotion then sometimes it's reflected to your reseller account, for example: there was a .me special offer if you optin then your customers would buy that domain for $14.99 year and your buy rate is $13.99 normally your buy rate is at about $17 for .me those are really good.. And as I told you it's really easy to set the panels and use them.. You also get alot of free products by godaddy if you become a reseller, ssl, website tonight, email plan 2 gb max 5 accounts etc.. I really like GoDaddy's reseller plan, they offer the cheapest buy rate, they offer the best solution if you don't want to invest additional money on building your own site buy using a specific API. There support is not the worse and not the best, it take approximately 1-2 days for you to get an answer, and if you update your previous question by sending reply to the email that you recieved it takes shorter. The problem is never the reseller plan that you have, the problem is marketing.. The domain market is huge and there are alot of competitors, the key of success is MARKETING ;)

Thanks for the info UAA. Does it cost anything to get started with the Godaddy domain reseller program? Any upfront fees at all?

for basic reseller they charge you $99.99, and for pro reseller $199.99, but of course you can get those packages with a cheaper price from a super reseller, you can get basic reseller for $59.99 & pro reseller for $159.99

click here for more information, it will direct you to a super reseller store front where you can get those reseller plans for a discounted price as I told you above.. And you may find additional info about the differences between pro and basic reseller plans..

You are welcome, I believe you have to pay initial fees, for almost every plan, but in some reseller programs you are allowed to use that initial fees for purchasing domains but your buy rate will never be as low as godaddies offers. Your costs will be approximately 8-10 $ per .com .net .org .. so it would be really hard for you to market them, because other resellers and normal registrars would always have price advantage, and most of the reseller plans doesn't offer you credit card processing, turnkey websites etc  you should think very carefuly.. If you think the price is not important, you can still have your own reseller, some registrars provide free API which is directly integrated by your account, so that you can buy and sell domains by that way, but for that you have to spent additional money for your own reseller store..
