    I hav desktop...................Intel 2.4 GHz, 845 Motherboard, 40GB HDD (Western Digital), 384 MB DDR RAM....................with 2mbps internet connection.................enough for me

    There is different criteria based on use.

    If i want to work continuously then prefer desktop because laptop is good enough if you want to use it for an hour or two hour IMO. Different people openions varies.

    i have voted for a desktop as compared to a laptop its much more stable and also unless you really need to be portable i feel that you just dont need a laptop..ofourse this is a personal opinion..

    but i am using desktops most of the time..

    Laptops all the way. May be a desk top at work. Then thats like 12 hrs.
