Right guys, i am planning on making a more personal blog regarding my interests, these are mainly to do with Asia the culture, language, films and anything else Asian. The blog its self will focus around Asian topics, whether this be my personal review of a certain Asian film, or regarding news on Asia. However i may also bring in some off topic subjects from time to time. My question is should i register and use a domain with keywords like "asia" and "blog" in so that i may get ranked higher in the search engines and people would distinguish my blog as one relevant to Asia, or should i use myname.com (Myname obviously being my actual name) which carries no relevancy towards Asia at all. Will.
i absolutely not recommend you using your own name for the domain, except personal blog or portfolio etc.
You may use yourname.domain if you are trying to earn some exposure as a writer/blogger, but you would have to pay attention to keywords and marketing strategies if you want to reach your target audience.
