I was submitting my site to this directory : http://www.navstarter.com/ and found that the submission process was very unique. Does anyone know which script is this?
Hi, the submission process (based in flash) is really original. The same directory called my attention when I was reviewing it. Anyway, this directory doesn't display any cue about the last admission, also, the available submission types should be displayed in HTML format (at least for my liking). Flash is really useful for 'dazzle', but has serious accessibility problems yet. A reliable directory script (from my point of view) should display last admissions and show openly (in an accessible way) the directory rules and submission types accepted.
i am fan of that site too , but only problem with that site is that it does not supports any form filler like roboform.
Decided to use one of my LLLL.net names and carve out a bit of web space just to play with it. Not a lot of fluff, easy install and lightning fast. Might be just the ticket to throw a bunch of my mini-sites at. Free, no linkback required but appreciated. No guarantees how long it will be there but at least well into 2009. A fun and cheap experiment. -- www.PUXX.net -- A thing I like is what they call short and extended descriptions. Am looking where to insert thumbnails code for listings in addition to description -- gotta be there someplace in one of the .tpl files--.
i also like the submmision part be in flash.Flash is not so visible o SE and that is good Is there anyway to include meta desription and keyword to the submmision form? And is any who can embleded this to a phpld directory? If yes please pm me with more info.
Just a note. The flash you see at navstarter.com is a mod to the script. The download has no flash. Been playing with it at PUXX.net - not a lot of glitz but very easy to work with. Having fun with it. Just thought - may be the commercial version has it.
I kinda like this thing but it appears to not be actively maintained. There are hanging code/hooks and a few things lacking like duplicate link checking. Template is easy to modify. The new look PUXX.net was created in a short afternoon (learning curve held up a bit) was done about 90% style.css and 10% .tpl files.
