    People look at directories only for backlinks and not traffic... as nobody ever goes to directories to check their listings! :rolleyes:

    Ask yourself a question as to how many times you yourself have taken help of an online directory to search for a good informative site... and hopefully, you would have the correct answer! :eek:

    I think it is for only quality back links, very rather we get traffic from directories....

    Exception starts and ends at DMoz, i do get some traffic everyday! but thats the only directory i get it from!

    rest just backlinks,.

    Right, get about 10 visitors/day from Dmoz. The total traffic from other directories (Our site is listed in atleast 700 directories) is about 100-150 visitors a month.

    It provides more backlinks to your site, just simple as that..if you have time, you can try to track which directories sent you the most traffic and you can share with us..lol
