I like #3 the best.

 

I like 3 as well, and 1 would be second on the list.

 

I would say 3 also. It is more eye pleasing and gives good contrast color.

#2 for me.

 

I think3 is the best as well. I presents your listings very well, and I like the color scheme. Everything sits well in that one.

#2 with a few tweaks.

 

IMHO #4. In #3 the text is blue on blue which makes it harder to read. But I would make the text darker in #4 as well.

 

Just my personal opinion ... its a difficult question for a web designer... I am assuming that you want critique on design aspects alone, rather than coding and usability aspects as well.

I think #1 is best because I found that my eyes focused first on the content first (the most important part of a web site), so I had a better idea in an instant of what kind of site I was visiting... it takes a surfer just a few seconds to decide whether they like what they see or not, and while stunning graphics can hold the gaze for a moment, its content and layout that really builds visitor stats.

From a purely aesthetic point of view, I 'like' #2, but found the load time a tad higher than #1. Unfortunately, I think 3 lacks focus because of the blue on blue with blue, oh and some more blue.

#3 looks professional, If it was my personal homepage i would go for #2.
