    When I type,

    link:my-domain-name.com

Google shows no results. But when I type,

link: my-domain-name.com (Notice the space between command and domain name)

It says I have 100+ backlinks which is true :)

    For another example,

    link:digitalpoint.com

says the result is only 13,100 while

    link: digitalpoint.com

    says 551,000 as the result.

    Please share your opinions.

The right command is the one without the space.
If you've got no result it's maybe because Google didn't update the BL for your site yet.

Very interesting here as well. Using your example with my URL, I show five times as many links when I add the space before the www.
