Hello all, I am in the process of starting my hosting services. Design is ready and now comes development part. But, I am really confused while selecting base of my website. I should go for cms or php stand alone pages? Which cms will be the best for a hosting provider website? Wordpress, joomla, drupal... or any other? Please advise if you think that php coded pages are better than going for cms setup. Also, I herd about wordpress that it is not safe for a business like hosting because it is quite easy to break its security. I really need help....
You can create your own CMS with php. Youtube it as it's not hard to find a tutorial. I plan to mess around with that soon. Maybe you will find it useful now.
Go with wordpress or PHP. This is the best option. If you do not have much knowledge about PHP then wordpress is the best option.
With your help I am able to decide. I am choosing php handcoded pages with integrated admin area where I can perform some dynamic tasks. Thanks everyone
I'd recommend Wordpress though - with PHP you'll have to pay for a lot of unneeded work that could be saved with Wordpress. Just get someone who can secure your WP install and make sure it's frequently updated and you should be fine.
If you're going to be running a hosting business and don't know how to write your site, hire a programmer. If you do it yourself, you're just begging to have your entire company hacked. (And if the hacker gets credit card data, you'll be sued by not only your customers, but by their banks as well.)
It depends on your needs and what you're most comfortable with. But I would have to say php and ruby are by far the most popular. I personally use PHP, but I believe php, ruby (rails), and python (django) are all 3 great languages to use for a CMS.
wordpress is best cms because available all themes and plugins which are require to you website.Php is best start and it is very easy language and i think their new version give more secure.
