A lot of products do well.

Look for some with lower gravity. They're less competitive, as Clickbank very openly and honestly explain on their site.

A lot of higher gravity products have low conversion-rates and much smaller sales numbers than you'd think, as well as many very successful affiliates with large AdWords budgets promoting them. All things to stay well away from, in my opinion. ;)

I really think only newbs promote mainstream CB stuff with adwords. You have to look at what affiliates have LONG TIME running PPC campaigns, and i think the number is way lower. There are many, many people starting out with throwing up a site and then trying adwords (campaigns which MOSTLY will all ultimately fail after they observed how it goes) - otherwise i just cant explain how some affiliates would bid $0.80++ for some keywords.

There was an interesting report on some site recently (i think it was the fatloss4idiots site) where they said that the majority of the successful affiliates do actually NOT bid on weight-loss related keywords, they make the biggest junk by buying banners advertising on related sites, targeting an audience rather than a niche. (Eg. buying banner space for fatloss on a site mostly visited by women etc..) And i never, EVER believe any of those vendors who claim that PPC is so easy and their products convert 1:30 or 1:20.

Having done a lot of adwords for 2+ years, keyword research, read many books about CB/Adwords...i still think it doesnt work and NO book/course/method has convinced me to date. Even claims how cheap bids on content network are..forget it...try putting weight loss etc. ads on related sites on content network, you will pay as much as on search network.

What we see on adwords and ads related to clickbank products are MOSTLY 100% newbies in the first few days of their Adwords campaign who THINK that it might works. IMHO.

I don't mean to sound like an @ss when I say this but here it goes...

If you are looking for the best product you are wasting your time. I say this because it all depends on your niche, the knowledge you have in promoting the product, the amount of time you put into it and the ability to know your customers.

Yes, there are some products that are better compared to others. There are some products out there that are total pieces of sh*t. Like others pointed out,one thing you can do is look at the gravity.

This is how Clickbank describes gravity:

"Gravity: Number of distinct affiliates who earned a commission by referring a paying customer to the vendor's products. This is a weighted sum and not an actual total. For each affiliate paid in the last 8 weeks we add an amount between 0.1 and 1.0 to the total. The more recent the last referral, the higher the value added."

Okay so looking at it from a marketer's point of view, this could be good or bad. Good because it means people are actually earning from promoting the product, but bad because it means you have a lot of competition.

If you ask a lot of successful marketers, they will tell you one thing- TEST! In everything you do in marketing, you have to test it out. Try a product, see how it converts. If it doesn't convert well, then try to determine if it is the product or the methods you are using to promote it.

To check the stats of CB products, you can try cb-analytics. This will tell you everything you need to know about the product.

    Good Luck! :)
