Which came first?

The word or the thought behind the word?

 

I would say the thought behind the word.

 

maybe, but how can you think of something which doesn't even have a word ?

 

By "the word" do you mean Logos? If so the word otherwise the thought.

 

word > text, some mixture of characters for example, "pool" or name, "digitalpoint"

 

Does that make any difference?

 

No word without thought behind the word

 

THOUGHT, for every reason there is a thought

 

I will say, it is our thought that generates first and make us work out some way of expression for it. Like necessity is the mother of inventions.

 

The thought ofcourse, the word only decided is because of the thought.
