Mozilla Firefox has several tools and add-ons that helps SEO people to complete a task fast. So I would say for SEO purposes Mozilla Firefox is better.

i am using mozilla firefox mainly because of the add ons that i used, once google chrome has it, i will shift to google chrome because it is light and simple and clean. In mozilla firefox, you can move the firefox profile to another drive and you can lock the system drive to isolate it from viruses. I dont know if google chrome has this capability but if it has, i will shift to google chrome permanently as my default browser.

it provides less number of addons but the necessary one's are already there so no problem for me

Well, as the SEO end I prefer to use Mozilla Firefox as the browser. The reason is that Firefox provides different kind of add-on which is easy to use. Another thing is that Mozilla provides different kind of extensions which helps in analysis of website and promotion of website.

Firefox with the firebug tool is great for seo. It can also inform you of site loading times and how to reduce it.

I am also having same problem. So I have made an idea not to install new version of Mozilla. This way all my ad ons will be safe.

No matter that which browser do we use, there will be no effect in SEO. May be some utilities or add-ons available but they will be just helping in seo process but not in the results.
