I am planning to buy a new laptop next month. I am trying to decide between Sony Vaio, Dell, or Lenovo. If you had to choose between the three brands, which one would you recommend?

If you are looking for performance then I will prefer Lenovo. Sony Vaio laptops are also good but it is costly and not more powerful in performance than Lenovo. Looks wise Sony is the best.

I am using HP Pavillion since 2006 and very happy with the performance.

Between the 3 choices listed - I'd most likely go for the Vaio.

Its the more expensive, but the performance is good, Sony's customer service isn't too bad either - and to top it off you get a nice looker of a laptop (not important I know ... but hey).

Dell has never been one of my favourite brands.

I have voted for Sony Vaio as it is a much stronger brand name and has a very good service center in my area...

Yes looks nice and I also recommend you to go with Sony Vaio as it's performance is far better then others. Although price might be higher but you would get quality performance.

I heard Dell doesn't use standard parts and they are much more expensive to fix.

    Personally Id say Mac :)

Vaio hands down. Lenovo is cheaply-made POS. "DHell" has the worst customer service ever.
