looks like they use "pop unders" ... so yes that type of thing sends trafic like it or not (from the users point of view) ... most will use popup killers or just close the window without reading. best way to gain trafic other than serps is join relevant forums to your topic that allow a home page link and try to be helpful ... even if they dont allow a sig file link... many will look to see what your homepage is.
