Hi friend, i m new in dp and i m working as a seo in company,i wrote this thread bcoz i m confuse of blog selection, My question is that which one blog important for seo point of view and google give more important like paid blog(own blog) or free blog(blogger,word press) bcoz i m show many website create own blog and put link on website. So anyone can reply me...
wordpress paid blog i think. because it is very google friendly and bunch of plugin you can install to optimize.
Create a custom Blog. If your competitors are posting on their blog regularly and you don't have one, you do not have a chance to attain that top search engine placement on Page One. Content is king when it comes to algorithmic calculations for page rank and a blog is the way to always add more quality content.
Wordpress is really good and you can go for it. It gives good amount of backlinks and also helps in easy customization.
@Carroll28... Google doesn't give additional weight to a paid or free blog per say. (Although you might get some initial benefit from being hosted on as a subdomain on a strong domain like myblog.wordpress.com). The problem I have with free blogs is that you can't fully customize your blog and add in all the cool plug ins that are available for Wordpress. It's kind of like blogging with training wheels. Plus you don't really own your content. It's unlikely, but what if your free blog site went out of business in two years, you'd be out of a lot of work building content. My advice: host your own blog.
I love wordpress. Bloggers suck in indexing. Creating good sites from wordpress and you can achieve good results. Plus the new release of 3.0 version has made SEO more easier for my sites.
