I am planning to run a banner ad not on google adwords but sites related to the product I am trying to promote. just wondering which banner ad site has the best CTR? 728x90 or 468x60 or other size your suggestion are greatly appreciate.
Definitely NOT the 468x60 banner. This one has the WORST CTR ever. This is the standard size for almost all banners, and it hardly ever passes peoples' ad filter. Ads are so common nowadays that people just ignore them. What you wanna do is make the banner something that doesn't look like an ad. The rectangles and squares are generally a good choice, or if you wanna make it a horizontal banner, I'd suggest a half banner.
