    Hey there mates.
I have a reasonable amount of funds that i would like to withdraw from paypal.

I am from india and would like to get some idea about the process from indian users preferably.

The thing is my account is still not verified and i am still a student who has just finished graduation

I havn't paid any taxes as i havnt earned anything and i don't have any tax returns or the like but i have a pan card.

I was contemplating opening a new account with a bank and wanted to know which banks are good when it comes to transactions with paypal.

Also i was thinking about getting an add on credit card on the basis of my dad's credit card and using it to verify with paypal.

Any and all tips and suggestions are eagerly sought after.

    Thanks.

Go and open an account with HDFC bank. You will get funds in your bank account within 3-4 days max from paypal through bank withdrawal. And regarding add on card thats really good idea for verification of your paypal account.

    DON.

But from July 01, 2008 minimum Quarterly Average Balance (QAB) that you need to maintain in your savings account is being increased from 5000 INR to 10000 INR  and HDFC still offers minimum QAB 5000 INR.

    DON.

i think icici had that 10k thing going for sometime before it blew up on the newspapers.

Anyone who uses both banks and would like to share his experience with me? Please share your views as i will be deciding by this weekend. Thanks.

Both HDFC and State bank of India working fine with me. I get funds within 2 days maximum. But I recommend HDFC as their customer support is much better than SBI, in case you have any problem or issue.

Hey guys. Which bank issues a cc that i can use to get verified with paypal. I don't pay tax as i am still a student and i havn't done any jobs and this is my first attempt at making some money online.

Anyone knows of any banks or some other financial institutions that will give a CC that i can use to verify with paypal.

Currently i am contemplating getting an add on CC on my dad's CC but if i can get one on my own then that would be something :D

I am still in doubt and could really use some more advice. Thanks.

Does hdfc have any such options like a credit card for fixed deposit holders. I tried going through the sites of both icici and hdfc and man did they make my head spin. I didn't find any info on either of the sites that i was looking for so i called them both. At HDFC no one is picking up my call :D LOL their loss and at icici they called me and played their taa taa naa naa ta na naa naa naa na na tune and disconnected. What a bunch of loosers.

OK i personally visited branches of icici and hdfc that are there in my city.

While hdfc doesn't have any provision to provide me with a credit card icici does have some options.

One is for me to get an add on card on basis of my dad's credit card and the other is to open a fixed deposit account and get a cc. The amount quoted for the FD account was 40k :O

Both will take 10 - 20 days to process :(. Kya lafda hai man. All the day they keep calling up trying to get me to buy their ccs and join up with their dmat accounts and now when i need one they all do nakhra.

Can i use someone else's cc and just check the amount and the pin and when i get verified i can remove it from the listing ? What say ?

Ask your dad to open an ICICI Bank account by depositing 10K in your name. You will then be entitled to receive a credit card. Once you have connected your online bank acccount with paypal, you can then transfer your paypal money to your bank account, online. You problem then get solved. But to attach your bank account with paypal, you must be ready with the IFC code informationbefore you start doing the procedure of connecting your paypal acount with the online bank account that you have. All you have to do is just call up customer care and ask them the IFC code of the branch in which you have the bank account.
