Hello, I've got a question regarding Link Building, Specifically, the "Backlink Pyramid / Wheel" structures... I've currently got a site (its in the appraisals section at the moment) that's bringing in quite a nice revenue via AdSense ($50-100/day) that I want to set up to be self-sustaining, but in order for that, i need to rank it for more keywords... so trying to figure out which will work best. Below, you will see a kid's drawing (hey, that's mine!) with 6 different examples. KEY: YOUR DOMAIN = Your Domain Circles Labeled with the number 1 = High PR Article sites (Squidoo/HubPages), Wiki Articles, Etc Circles that are unlabeled are smaller sites, Forums, Blog Posts, etc. So, Scene 1: Main Domain is linked to from several Articles, which in turn are linked to via tons of other, smaller locations, wtih the random small locations linking to main domain. Scene 2: Main Domain is linked to from several Articles, which in turn are linked (and some interlinked) to by tons of smaller links (blog posts, forums, etc) Scene 3: Main Domain is linked to from several Articles, whcih are also interlinked with 1 other article, which in turn are linked by smaller links (blog posts, etc) Scene 4: Main Domain is linked to from several Articles as well as tons of smaller domains (blog posts, forums, etc) Scene 5: Main Domain is linked to from several Articles which are all interlinked, which in turn are linked to by smaller domains (Forums, Blog Posts, etc) Scene 6: Main Domain is linked to from several Articles, which in turn are linked and interlinked by tons of smaller blog posts, forums, etc. which scene is the best for a STRONG page authority in Google's eyes? Also, obviously DoFollow is best, but what about nofollow links that are contextual? also, if anyone has a good read on backlinks and link pyramids/wheels, it'd be much appreciated Thank you all!
I would say scene nr4, if you'll take a look at any website that's how they tend to evolve. Links from all directions and the pyramids do have more link juice than the rest.
