Which are the most popular hosting company?

I mean who host the more domains. I am using godaddy but all are saying it is a waste.

What is the reason for going with a company with the most domains hosted? This doesn't relate to quality.

    Anyway, of the top of my head;
    1and1
    Aplus
    Hostgator

BTW, I assumed you meant shared hosting.

I'd probably also side with Hostgator as being the most popular. They've got a good brand awareness going on.

Hostgator has recently become popular, but doesn't come close to the amount of 1and1, whose been around since 1988 with over 9million domains, compared to hostgator whoes been around since 02' with around 1mil domains.

HotsGator are very popular. You can join them for one cent here and see if you like them.

Did you do any research yourself? Seems everyone here is going by current popularity.

I used godaddy 3 or 4 years ago and wasn't happy with them. If your using them and your happy with their hosting then stick with them.

nv use godaddy, their service sucks. I lost all my domain with them because of phishing and they dont do anything about it.

I think hostgator is a good thing for shared hosting and SoftLayer is the best for dedicated hosting.

HostGator and Dreamhost have to be some of the most popular and fast growing shared hosting solutions. They are however not the largest hosting providers out there, but the largest ones tend to be enterprise and actually own numerous datacenters and some even provide bandwidth along with dedicated and co-located solutions.

I am with Lunarpages for 3 years...
so for not faced any problem...

But once they suspended my website, due to some attack on my website using PHP backdoor.
So..i can not blame them for that..it is my mistake.

    Lunarpage is also good.

I've had Host Gator since december, because a friend of mine offered to pay the sign up cost if I used his ref link. Little did I know that I would end up liking them so much. They have really been on the ball with customer support. I like them so much that I just bought another 3 months of hosting with them.
