I want to connect the Internet to my desktop through a mobile phone, which are good ones for this and what will the speed. Thanks in advance.
Well, if you want to connect it to a desktop then buy a cellphone with EDGE or 3G. Also, it depends if you are going to take 3G or not. You can buy Nokia N72, its with edge and available in just around $180 while if you want 3G with EDGE and other good facilities then Nokia N95 is cool in $450. - Mr.President -
Choose any Nokia cellphone with 3G feature. It would be good enough for your requirement. Internet speed will depend mainly on your cellphone carrier. So better try to find out which carrier provides best Internet speed in your area.
It depends on your Network and mobile phone. There are GPRS, EDGE and 3G network. These standards also has some standards. For eg: there are mobile phones with GPRS class 10 and class 32. Class 32 phones have more download and upload speed. Similarly there are phones with higher 3G and EDGE standards. Get some Nokia Nseries phone. You will get reasonably high internet speed.
I'm currently using Nokia N70, not as fast compared to conventional DSL but overall it serves as a very good modem. I was told that N72 and N73 will do just as great and not too expensive either, do get one and install Nokia PC Suite to connect to the internet via desktop or laptop. All the best
I have used Sony Ericsson k850i... for mobile Internet service.... it used to work great.. Now friend has bought a blackberry and he says it has its own line internet connectivity...
iPhone 3Gs and Motorola Droid. The Droid's display is gorgeous, the Android 2.0 updates are excellent, and the handset is lightning fast, particularly for an Android phone. Droid can be as a real competitor to Apple's device.
