    Facebook has certainly become the biggest social networking site.
    However,there are other networking sites as well related to personal interests like designing, gardening etc.
    So one can join those networking sites/forums also.

    Depends what you are looking for. If you want to get a CPA lead for a Free iPad offer, then Facebook for sure. If you want to sell a professional product, then Linkedin. The benefits to using Facebook is that you can target more people, but those people tend to have lower spending potential [kids, students, stay at home moms etc]. It is just essential to understand who you are targeting and how you are doing so.
