I'm just starting up with SEO and I would like to know if there are some guidelines for targeting multiple keywords on the same page (index page). For example, let's say I would want to rank for: "handmade bracelets" with 1000 LMS and "leather bracelets" with 800 LMS My website is selling handmade leather bracelets. Unfortunately, the "handmade leather bracelets" has ~200LMS. How would you choose the title? <title>Handmade Bracelets - Leather Bracelets | StoreName </title> VS. <title>Handmade Leather Bracelets | Store name</title> Even though the store's main page should show directly the best selling products, should I include also in the contents of my index page some H2 with "handmade bracelets" or "leather bracelets" and some text content with the keywords? (I think that if the user sees half of page of text description or maybe has to scroll 2 screens of content on a mobile device, it will dramatically decrease the conversion rate). Can I skip headers and text with the keywords in this scenario? Or if not, must they contain the exact keywords or could I merge into a single H2: Handmade Leather Bracelets? What other things should I watch out for?
I think this article from Moz will help you to understand better. Targeting Multiple Keywords on a Single Page
Hey beingriju, I cannot open the link. It seems it's not working. Can you try sending it again? Thanks!
Google is nowhere near as clever as its propaganda team try to convince people but it is smart enough to know that an article titled "handmade leather bracelets" will be relivant to both "Handmade Bracelets" and "Leather Bracelets". Also, the keywords will have different competition levels, you could potentially get more traffic from the term handmade leather bracelets than the other two put togeather if their competition rating is too hard for you.
Targeting multiple keywords on a single page is just right, more on like a normal scenario. Just don't do it too much like you're trying to have your articles as many keywords as you want.
