yesss - which are the best (convenient, easy -to use, cheap) CMS providers nowadays - do they have a lot of hidden costs? Which are the most irritating?
My choice is Drupal for website and wordpress for blog. There are many solutions with "cheap" paid cms but at the end you end up with not cheap and you get same thing what you can do with drupal.
Beginner- wordpress, experienced- joomla, experienced- drupal...my thoughts...but I like wp and joomla the best... they all have pros and cons,..but I would start with one of those.
For me, it has to be Joomla. Joomla enables you to build Web sites and powerful online applications. Many factors, including ease of use and extensive features, have made Joomla the most popular Web site software available.
There many options, but Wordpress is the most popular web publishing platform. You can test different cms providers before deciding which one to use.
well I suppose it depends on the needs a website should serve. WP is great but still takes some time to lean how to operate it. Drupal is more complicated, etc. I tried several builders offered by hosting companies - unfortunately, some of them are really limited in their functionality. So I'm still searching
For me, I like Modx, it may not be the easiest, Though I find creating templates for it really simple, or convert HTML/CSS templates to Modx. www.modxcms.com. I currently use it on my site and also I submit the templates I converted to Modx's template repos.
Well as far as I understood this is a desktop application. So everyone who needs to update a site should have a copy of it, correct?
Id go with Wordpress it's the easiest out of the box and can be modified to meet many more advanced needs. If you are new to web dev work and have advanced needs, there are experts you can hire for more advanced needs.
