I'm using Kaspersky Internet Security 2011 one year license.

Features : Realtime monitoring, auto scan removable drive and External HDD, firewall.
Pros : It's very reliable and effective.
Cons : Need a high RAM, very costly ;)

    So, how about you guys?

I am using Microsoft Security Essentials.

Pros : It's very reliable, effective, powerful, gives you all the updates, free(needs to have a genuine windows OS), don't need lots of ram.
Cons: I don't see any cons yet.

    Avast (free version).
I've been a LONG TIME user of AVG, but it really sucked on Windows 7/64, so I decided to try Avast.
Can't find anything to complain about so far.

Since moving to Windows 7 I've also had to give up my all time favourite firewall (Sygate)... but have switched to Comodo (free version). Which is slowly growing on me.

AVG Free edition, it runs in the background, doesn't alert you every time it finds a mouse in the closet and uses less ram than the calculator, I love AVG.

When security essentials was bought out it was good, then months went by and we noticed that more then often it began to stop being so proactive and began to let in viruses, since then i believe it was gotten better again, still not 100%, i would suggest you (if you download alot of torrents/random files off the internet) that maybe you run a scan on your machine using super anti-spyware just to be safe. and if you do find any infections (not tracking cookies, just actual infections) then remove what you have and go for Avast Free, its the best! Trust me.

I think no need to spend money on anti virus programs. AVG free version is sufficient. I just don't visit suspicious websites to be on the safer side.
BTW it does make my system a little slow when it is updating virus definitions from its server. But otherwise it runs smoothly.

I'm not using any antivirus right now. If I think my computer might be infected (very rare) I use AVG and Malwarebytes.

I've just switched over to Kaspersky and I like it better than
Norton. It doesn't seem as intrusive as Norton and I don't
have the problem with certain software that I had with
    Norton.
