    I use ESET NOD 32 antivirus. It is a paid version and does a great job. For free edition, avast is better, imo...

    Avira is quite good. Kaspersky gives a slow response, that's why i too don't like this anti-virus.

    If you are going for free version then i would say MSE is Better than Avast. Using it since some months and still the pc is virus free.I'm a power Internet user .

    I too use Kaspersky after using many other anti virus. I think all antivirus are good if they are updated via internet

    There's a relatively unknown free antivirus called Comodo internet security which blocks about 99% of all malware. In comparison AVG, Avast and avira only block about 60%. I know this from many antivirus tests I've seen on youtube. Comodo can be more geared towards advanced users, but it's not that difficult.
