    The fact is that any person will recommend what he is using and wont bother to change if he is unsatisfied. you cant even collect stats by voting and then decide because each vote is based on limited personal experience of 1 or 2 different AV softwares.
    I recommend you to use Bitdefended/Kespersky if your PC has high RAM and processor. else use light weight Nod32 which is pretty good in detecting latest threats.
