I've used F-Secure for several years and never encountered any problems. However upon scanning my computer with NOD 32 and finding out that I've had several undetected spyware/adware/malware, I've found my self obligated to use NOD. As for the firewall, I guess ESET just gave the answer by releasing the Smart Security suite which I must say, ROCKS!

All my computers use Norton 360 which is Nortons "all-round" protection suite and includes just about all of their latest products in a single package but its not free. Before this I used NOD32 which has my vote for the best free antivirus program available.

I've used Avast free edition for the last couple of years and couldn't be happier with it. I've had huge problems with McAfee in the past, not to mention it eats up a huge amount of resources and makes computers run slower in general.

an advice : Never use Avast !

    Antivir is better than Avast!

I tried it many times ago and infected my PC. Avast couldn't stop it always wanr me with yellow warning bars. Viruses made zombie PC my machine.
