    I will highly recommend u to use Kaspersky Internet security 2009. Very user friendly, very effective. Trust me its the best.

    Avast has saved the day multiple times for me while cleaning others' computers.
    I've since switched to Eset because Eset is the only one that cleaned an infected computer where all the others missed.

    Avira is good too.

    If you refuse to pay, Avast or Avira.

    But I recommend paying and go with ESET.

    I don't trust any others.

    I need to make a decision this week as my subscription runs out on Zonealarm...I'm too cheap to fork over another $60

    I'm using Kaspersky Internet Security 7.0.0.125 .. it's the best. some how Kaspersky IS 2009 is not functioning well in my PC.

    is avira favorable in terms of system resources? One of the things that I heard about the newest AVG (8...really not new anymore!) was that it tried to "do too much", that it was trying to be all of these things in addition to just AV...like spyware and all that stuff.

    I'm warry to go back to AVG if that is the case. I've used it before and liked it but that was older versions.

    I think you're right, it might be more like 9.9/10!!

    chances are the .1 is solely b/c it was bungholed, errr, bundled with the PC :rolleyes:
