Now who said they turn off their security software, Now who ever said that, Dont have no reason to be in front of a computer, Cause is people like that, that infect everyone else computer sending virus to all their friends in their contacts, ...

He said he dont download porn so he dont have to worried about virus, Sad, Cause 80 percent of the virus and spyware that infect computers is cause people like him that think cause they are not downloading porn there are free of virus..

you think you only get virus through Porn, Have you try IRC networks ? If not I invite you to go and find a hacker channel and curse the shit out of them, They not going to banned you, But they will hack the shit out of your computer and even delete some of your personally files without you knowing.

looking at your avatar, I hope you not running a computer related blog or repair business cause you just lost all your clients or readers when they read this..

with the virus scan logs, It should be enough information for you to do a quick search on your registry for that files,

especially on your WinLogon strings, where most virus like to attach themselve to ,

Adaware is anti-spyware software. It gets rid of a lot. Superantispyware gets rid of a lot. Malwarebytes gets rid of a lot. Spyware Doctor gets rid of a lot.
But theres not one solution, in my experience, that is comprehensive. You must run a few scans to regain confidence.

dont know who is going to react and how but just three days before I downloaded a software from a unknown site and checked that with norton antivirus(the latest free verson downloaded from norton's own site). It didnot find any thing but when I installed it a virus/spyware everything named antivirus 2008 also got installed. I am still struggling with that. so f******k norton.:mad::mad:

and AVG is the best. I always use that, but that day my bad luck was in its top form so I switch to norton for my old pc.

I agree with this statement. Especially when the computer is already infected.

The combo that has been working quite well lately to keep from being infected is: Avast (less on the resources) and ThreatFire (proactive protection, spyware side of it).

Both are free for home use and well worth the money for pro use.

Well, in fact, I had a good experience with norton, even if I don't like it.

    Let me tell you:

In 2004, I installed Norton 2004 in my new computer because it came with it (OEM), but the license expired in 6 months, so I had no more antivirus. Anyway, I didn't cared because I had no internet and the (in that time) diskettes I inserted were trustworthy. Anyway, in 2006 I had to go to a cibercafe and worked there. What made me suspicius was a .html file I didn't created; it appeared there by itself. The manager came there and scanned the file with AVAST (UP TO DATE!), but it didn't detected anything. So, when I get home and inserted the diskette, WHOOP norton detected the virus...

So, this means that NORTON with a 2-year-old database is BETTER than AVAST up to date.

    Avast users: BEWARE.

Anyway, my favorite is Kasperksy 7

interesting....the plot thickens. you should have sent it to symantec to verify...just wondering if it wasn't a false positive type of thing (possible but not likely)

I am using AVG free edition. It is the well-known free antivirus software and good home computer users. AVG Free is easy to use and will not slow your system down. This software provides the bare necessities, including a real-time shield to prevent infections, anti-virus and anti-malware wrapped up in one engine, and a link scanner for Web surfing with care.
