    NOD32.

I never recommend McAfee my computer became very fast after I removed it. It used to use 99% CPU resources :| .

i use at least 2 to 3 different ones as it seems that something always slips by, so having an alternate one helps pick that up. note that i dont actualy buy them all, my internet provider provides free norton, my work uses a different one and i use an online one that picks up different things

    lol

AVG (FREE) is better ... Kaspersky (PAID) is the best.

I'm using Kis 7 and have no great trouble with viruses... just you need is to buy a lisence and try to upgrade you virus libraries everyday. Talking about Eset v.3.x.x it's less valid in search of viruses, but use also less memory, so it's just for fun, you have hazardous viruses and you don't know about it and it can't zeroize infected files, just to delete it, but i don't know why people like it, but the lisense's price is about kis7's...
Just try to use paid antiviruses, they are more claimed and reliable.

Kasperski is by far the best. Allegedly, it has the best Russian hackers working for it. If you are concerned about the price, buy 2-year licence and you'll get the next year half price.

Support team is friendly and helpful.

For those of you who have decided to use free anti virus software, alas! no comments - you, guys contribute to the thriving world of virus coders. People on free anti virus should be banned from the net and from using any software! :D

i think norton anti virus is the best. besides that i have also tried avg antivirus and kaspersky antivirus. although norton gives a lot of warnings and all but still as far as protection is concerned. i think it is a very good option againgst protection from trojans.

Come on people. We can argue on this topic forever. It is just like the IE-Firefox debate. Yes, all anti-viruses are good, yes some are little more resource intensive than others, but if you are going to trust other unknown people from the internet on how to protect your computer against viruses, it is not a good choice, since everybody chooses the one that is his favorite.

My suggestion would be to try the one you like the most (I suggest Kaspersky, because I've had no trouble with it yet, but watch me switching fast to some other alternative as soon as I know that it let a virus slip through), then if you ever experience a problem or a virus infection - just switch it! There are so many alternatives out there (some of them - free, which makes no difference at all for me).
