I rely on BitDefender and Windows Defender. I will get random things occasionally from major geeks if spyware or other evolving viruses/trojans have slipped past their defense and they can't get rid of them
You can still get infected from friends USB sticks or random sites (which may appear to be legit). It helps to pick a good anti-virus instead of just 'any antivirus'
i use to use free avast .but since they upgraded the software they made some nasty changes .so on every time i run the sofware.whole system goes down .so i bought avg now witch is so far best i think.
1. Anti Virus I have been using Norton for the past 5 years. When I purchased Dell PC, Norton was already installed 30 day free and after expiry I subscribed. So far I am happy. 2. Firewall I have been using ZoneAlarm for the past 5 years. They have been winning many national and international awards and they cover all areas such as antivirus, firewall, spyware etc It was stated in a book "Windows XP for Dummies" so I subscribed it. So far I am happy. Their products can be viewed at http://nightwishmarketing.web.officelive.com/SoftwareSecurity.aspx
Hello, I am using the Avast 4.8 which is the latest and it is great which search all the virus and delete it. Thanks, Morris Robin
I do prefer http://www.clamwin.com software. Its free to use. Beside there is Microsoft Free Anti virus which you can get it here www.microsoft.com/security_essentials
I just removed KIS 2011. IT seems to slow down my pc, i just tried Microsoft Security Essentials, lets hope better results.
hello! actually i was using kaspersky 2010 , and also i used to update it regularly. but 1 day my sister plugged in virus affected pendrive in my PC,..n this KIS didnt even recognize it n my system was ahhh. i had to reinstall my XP. after this my friend advised me to install AVG free edition 2010, and guess what it is working fine.,.. think AVG is the best and you should go for it. also I used malwarebyte's anti-malware - the free version when my PC was infected by that pendrive, but it deleted imp OS files.
I use NIS 2010. Extremely satisfied with the security aspect, but it does use up a lot of CPU resources.
