    Hello,
I wanted to download a new anti virus on my system, but am not sure which one to use.
Which one do you use, and is it free as well?
    Thanks :)

I use malwarebyte's anti-malware - the free version. And spybot: search and destroy

You can use AVG antivirus... it is free and very efficient with its online resident shield which prevents harmful threats from getting downloaded on your PC... while surfing! :)

I use Avira AntiVir Personal (free) for 5 years. Never got any malware issues in my PC since I installed it. The only problem with AntiVir is they are known for having a lot of false positives. Other than that, it's perfect (for me).

I didnt had a good experience with Avast as it showed lots of false positives. Then i tried AVG for sometime and now am using Microsoft Security Essentials and its working fine for me. So I would recommend Microsoft Security Essentials.

If you want a free Anti-virus use AVG, if you want the best, and not just from me but from almost every software test, use Kaspersky Antivirus.
