I decided to submit my web-site to the main directories, such as: Yahoo! Directory BOTW.org Business.com and if I can, I'll get listed in DMOZ.org as well. My web-site is a touristic one, to be precise a list of hotels of Paris with an opportunity to book. The booking of hotels brings all the income. Now, in connection with this, I have two questions: 1. Which Anchor text is the best to use for my web-site in these directories? For example, like this: Paris Hotels (Yahoo! Directory) Paris Hotels (BOTW.org) Paris Hotels (Business.com) Paris Hotels (DMOZ.org) Basically, there is the same Anchor text in all directories. I like this variant most of all, because according to statistics "Paris Hotels" is the most popular search request in Google, so using such anchor text in the main directories would possibly improve the positions of my web-site for namely this request in SERP. Or am I wrong? At the same time, I don't like this variant because it turns out to be very artificial, there will be the same Anchor text in all directories. The description of the web-site will be different everywhere. Or is it better to do this way: Paris Hotels (Yahoo! Directory) Hotels in Paris (BOTW.org) Hotels Paris (Business.com) Hotels of Paris (DMOZ.org) There is different Anchor text everywhere. The description of the web-site will also be different everywhere. Could you please suggest which variant would be the best? And the second question: 2. What would be the periodicity to submit the web-site to all these directories? Should I pay for all of them in one day and submit an application for their consideration? Or should I register my web-site with one directory at a time, wait until they add my listing to one directory. Then wait until this page appears in Google Cache with my link, and only then submit to other directories? Should I wait until Google allows for my link in every previous directory and only then add to the next one?
1. My oppinion is different anchor text 2. It is not important to wait every single link to Google cashe
when submitting to the above directories, it doesn't matter which anchor text you use because yahoo, dmoz, botw will not list your site with anchor text title. they will most likely use your domain name as title. only if your URL is same as your exact keyword, then you can have the keyword in the title, otherwise not. for example, if your domain name is bluewidget.com, then your site title these directories will use would be either Blue Widget or BlueWidgets.com. no matter what you submit as a title, they will pick their own title when listing
Try to do a complete research on your main keywords . You can use google keyword suggestion tool which will also show you the number of hits per months for such keywords . So then use most visited keyword as anchor text plus keep in mind that such keyword are highly competitive and you need to put a lot of link from high pr website for same keyword to display your website on top of search result ..
