There are many good affiliate programs that payout well. It depends on the vertical you are going after. But you should always try to ask for higher payouts from merchants if you are able to produce revenue from they they should listen or you send the traffic to their competitors....Join Commission Junction and see whats out there. My thought process is a little skewed, because it is more important to me to have great creatives, tools and seemless integration, not to mention how well the product line matches what ever niche I am creating content for, than anything else. I would rather stay on target, and get a lower payout (initially) than to create content around the payout, which is the most popular way of thinking....sites and blogs like that scream of obvious. But of course, at first only webmasters know the difference....surfers figure it out after you have made a buck or two off of them. Do it from the heart and experience, and the money will follow, and last longer. JMO
Two affiliates programs that I am currently using are NeverBlueAds (3rd link in my sig) and AffiliateBot (4th link in my sig). They both have a wide variety of programs with decent payouts. They also have pay per Leads... hmansfield is right though, stay on target! Good Luck! nscdn

In addition, 50 private label websites are available for you to market and promote. I first learned abut them in Revenue magazine. Got a chance to them in person last year at Adtech tradeshow in New York. They are very approachable and can advise you on how to succeed with various online marketing strategies.
