Hi to everyone on DP! Firstly, apologies if this is in the wrong section - mods please move if required! I do a little work for a close friend who runs a small Zencart based online shop, selling niche physical products (and two or three downloadables) for the repair and/or hacking of one model of video game console. Recently sales have been dropping off due to increased competition from other businesses. There is currently no advertising done by the shop as until recently it has been showing up top in google for the main keywords. It is now 2nd to a competitor. We were thinking of joining an affiliate network to get some good traffic to the site and of course offering commission based on sales coming from this traffic. So my questions are: Is this the best/easiest way to go about advertising? Which would be a good affiliate network that also supports Zencart? What percentage commission would we be expected to pay? How would the commission get paid? I assume the network would send an invoice monthly. Monthly turnover of the shop is roughly 1500 GBP at present and was as high as 4000 GBP about 6 months ago. Products vary in price from 10 GBP to 25 GBP.
You can have an in house affiliate program. Then email some "related" publishers to promote your product. In case of your digital products, try CB, C2S, Paydotcom, etc.
