Which AdSense "Code Type" is appropriate for using in Wordpress Site?

    I have noticed that adSense is giving option to choose "Code Type" while copying adCode.
    I found "Synchronous" and "Asynchronous (Beta)" as Code Types.
    Right now I am using "Synchronous" in my sites which are built using wordpress. I would like to know whether I can switch to "Asynchronous (Beta)". Will improve the ad loading speed?
