    I would accept it, definitely.
I wouldn't reject a site with unique content like this because of the design.
I wouldn't accept a site because of it's PR or because it's listed in DMOX.

I have a few funky sites like this in LinkLister from when it was new and free.

This is exactly why you should disregard them. Otherwise you'll be rejecting a high % of decent websites.

What exactly is the point of starting a thread like this?

If you have a personal beef against the guy, say so. But given that he is banned from DP at the moment, that's more than a little cowardly, don;t you think?

If it's not a personal beef, then this thread is just plain stupid. If you don't want to list his site in your directory, then don't. Surely you don't need anyone else's opinion to make that decision for your own directories, do you? If you do, perhaps you should be thinking about another career.

Hey hey --right up-to the point as always. :) --

I don't like to have any personal grudge with anybody -even if they red-rep me --but sometimes there comes a point -when you have to avoid some people.

It has no relation whatsoever with the sites he/she owns though. IMHO -every site should be reviewed based on merit and merit here means content.:):)

I do not know he is banned from DP ,Actually he submitted the site at v7n! and asked me why his site was rejected?

The problem is that I have a directory that is edited by a Bot!

The bot will block out these sites
    a)MFA sites
    b)less content sites
    c)meta tag less sites etc.,

After the introduction of bot in www.innermobiles.com

I have only just 35 submissions and the page views is 600

I am just wondering whether the sites that have been rejected were bad or not!,This is not the just anoher crap thread you

have been looking for ,but it is very much useful to me and others

No not certainly! Until I see the end of Dmoz!

Perfect. Your editor is a bot? Wonderful...

I see great success in your future in building link farms... err... factories. Matt Cutts will love it.

Maybe you or I would never visit such a site.
At least I don't know anything about NFL, and I am not interested at all in learning.
However other people may be interested in the information this site is providing and they might find it useful.
As an example I can say that as a Formula 1, and especially Ayrton Senna's fan, I used to search the net for sites about him, after his tragic death back in 1994.
Many sites looked crappy, but I found the information, and content to be very good for me.
I don't want to go off topic.
    Just gave an example.

It will be very good directory (www.innermobiles.com) in course of time than others like (some well established PR5 directories on directorycritic list)

Just submit a site ( a crap site or a MFA site ) and see whether my bot accepts it or not?(even Google can't detect an MFA site and all of you also)

I think there will be great future for this directory!

If my guess is correct, you are one who red repped me days ago for another thread relating to this site!

I'd advise to edit your directory yourself. This is just what gives directories a bad name, and part of the Google 'paid links' discussions. Also as a submitter I want to know my site has been looked at by an editor and accepted on its merits.

    Yes, exactly.

I just looked at a couple of other directories and I see they are still proclaiming that buying links from their directories -- and bidding for position within the directory -- will improve search engine ranking.

I don't know why these people don't just shorcut the process and submit their directpries directly to Google's paid link spam report service.

I will be editing my paid directories and some other free directories!

The bot is being tested on that directory to see how effectively it prevents spam or the sites that do not follow guidelines!

Well, Don't you think there is as such no point of running a "web directory" edited by a "bot" ?? It is my under standing that without a human interaction, web directory is nothing but just a place with links all over it.

And since when "meta tag less" sites comes under "poor quality"? There are many sites out there with great content and even PR5/6 that don't have meta tags. Will your bot also look for miss spelled words in description?? Will it be able to see that description is relevant to the site submitted?? Can it check if the submitted site is not just a single web page with one paragraph (including meta tags) ??? Can it check if the site is relevant to the category submitted?? And there can be many more points.

Realizing a "bot" that can work as good as human is just impossible.

Also, if you are using a "bot", why is there a need for any one to even submit to that directory. The bot should search around, find relevant site and simply list them.

PS. I didn't mean to offend you, I just don't see any need to have a "bot" editing a web directory.

You're right on all counts. A directory run by a bot is just one step away from a FFA link farm.
