    Hi friends i have a industrial portal site which has high bandwidth and what i need to know is Whether placing PopUp is useful for a site or it will reduce the traffic of site Please share your opinion.

    Most browsers block popups by default. Everyone hates popups. It subtracts from your users experience when they have to deal with annoying popups. I would stay away from them.

    pop-ups are useful when you want to sell pop-unders, or when you want to get subscribers.., just don't use the pop-up when the user leaves your website because some mouths say that you can be penalized by google..

    when you get searchengine traffic you shouldnt use popups cause they incrase the bouncerate.

    But if you get traffic from somewhere else its ok
