It's not necessarily good for you but you have to live a bit. All is good if done in moderation. I eat entirely healthy Sunday thru Thursday and workout. Friday's and Saturdays are my cheat days. Once you develop healthy eating though, the less you really want the grease anyhow. Give me some creamed spinach, a nice steak or a good caesar salad over a cheesesteak any day.
It depends, if the fast food anticipate the healthy of their served foods and the cleanliness of the utensils and the vicinity.
Fast Food is better when consumed in a limited quantity and not on regular basis. It is not at all good for our health....
What a nice little restro, rosana! And I particularly love the pickup window. It's sooo realistic! And thanks for making this because of my thread. I will put your useful thread to my list.
Generally, no, fast food isn't good for you. But it depends on the people making the food. Fast food equals convenience. Food designers and cooks try to see that it appeals to your palate, not your overall health rating. There are, of course, exceptions. You can hit the odd mom-n-pop eatery, bakery or pizza shop that puts the emphasis on good. Not just good taste, but good in all aspects. Good ingredients, which is the mantra of cooking schools all over the world, good preparation techniques, and good recipes that balance taste with health. Are there lots of those places around? No. But they do exist. Across the street from where I worked years ago was a pizza shop that put its effort into very healthy, organic-based ingredients with great taste and thoughtful food preparation. Generally no upset stomach or heartburn here because of cheaper commercial ingredients, no pools of fat unless you ordered something that really had to have fat to taste good (think sausage here) and its sauces were superb. Pizza is fast food, but here was fast, delicious and pretty good for you! There was a display by the slice where you chose from three or four precooked pizzas, they re-heated and, bingo, you had something hot, tasty, and fast. Produced not from a pricey, bent pinky, wood or coal-fired, super high temp oven, just your regular run-of-the-mill pizza oven made out of polished stainless. Mundane gear with excellent results. And no conspiracy by a flock of well intentioned, health-crazed do-gooders or an "uncaring, bury-you-for-a-profit" mega-conglomerate run by bean counters. Just people making tasty, convenient food good on multiple levels. So that's my take on it. Pass me the parmigiana shaker, please!
Better say NO to fast food. IT can lead to health problems such as high blood pressure, heart disease, and much more...
