    I have been asked to help sell a number of domains which are meant to be worth quite a bit.

    Whats the best way to go about this? Is there a main place you can do this, if so what about cost etc? Its all new to me

    Thanks

    You can try to sell them here at DP but watch out for scammers. If you want to be on the safe side, try Sedo.com, you can auction them there.
    Sedo takes a percent off your sale though, but you are safe.

    You could definitely sell them through Sedo - they are reputable and sell some high value domains. They do take a cut, but then they do attract some serious buyers with real cash in their pockets!

    Cheers

    You can feel free to list your domains at the site in my sig if you are interested. It is 100% free to list any domain names for sale. DomainApple.com offers 1/2 the commission rates of Sedo so you can get extra cash in your pocket if it sells. There are a lot of changes in the works and our auction system will be launched within the next week. Hope this helps and please let me know if you have any further questions. ;)

    I agree with many others that sedo is your best bet despite the %fee, but here are two other sites that I think are OK alternatives:
    Afternic
    GreatDomains

    I would say go around several domain name forums and have your domains appraised, just beware of shady people... but that's just like anything in life :D

    Let us know how the sales turn out!

    GreatDomains=Sedo

    Everyone uses the term 'premium' on their crap domains (no offense if you actually have top notch stuff to sell) so really unless you actually have some high quality stuff (is it actually getting type in traffic?) the real nice sales opportunities arent there. There are quite a few high profile mailing lists that sell domains for pretty good prices, all charge commission too. Starting with www.RickLatona.com

    I noticed that Sedo has some buyers with fat wallets. Be careful though. I received an e-mail from someone wanting to do business with me through e-mail instead of them registering with Sedo and bidding through the proper channels. I just keep deleting his e-mails. I did a google search on his e-mail name and found out that it was a scam. Sedo seems to be the way to go though.
