Where you register domains for cheap?

    I am looking to register some domains . But the question is where do you register it for cheap? (less than $4/year)
    I want to register it for at least 10 years.

    i'm not sure theres a place where u can register domains 4 less then $4/yr.. maybe 1 domain for 1 year.. ($1.99 sales).. but i dout you'll find a registrar 4 less then $4...

    lemme kno if you do.. LOL

    what extension are you looking for? I don't think there's a place where you can register domains less than $4/year.... You can get for free if you are buying include hosting package :D

    The reason why I am asking is, that some people are selling some domains for $1.99.. and I am not able to understand, how can they sell it for this price?

    So I thought that there might be some source where you could register domains for cheap !!

    Well, the reason why they can sell you domain names at $1.99, is that they are making a loss for each name they are selling at that price. Basically, there are terms and conditions attached to that such as only 1 domain per person for 1 year only and after that you renew at the regular prices.

    In marketing terms, this is what we call a 'loss leader', it is not a new marketing technique. Basically, they will price something very low to attract people to visit their stores and hopefully pick up something else at regular prices while at it.

    For the registrar business, it is really very competitive because there are so many players out there so to do something drastic to attract new customers, they offer insanely low prices. It is cheaper than standard marketing because people who sign up will spread the word about them for free.
