I want to start a thread to get to know some web designers personally (i am a coder) and choose some nice ones to add their portfolios to my blogroll and expect the same in return.

Now directly it seems it can go into the Link Exchange sub-forum, but that will only draw attention to only unnecessary SEO guys and i will not be able to get to real designers.

I guess i will be able to get good responses as i wish, if i post it into Design sub-forum of Buy Sell Trade > Design but just wanted to know if someone will report/thrash me for that?

If you want to do a link exchange, it has to go in the link exchange forum. Sorry. Putting it anywhere else could earn you an infraction.

My suggestion is this. Create the thread in Link Exchanges, then link to your thread in your signature. Then go make some relevant and useful posts in the Design & Development forum. Then these "real designers" that you speak of will see your signature.

And who knows, just maybe some of those "real designers" might actually be smart enough to look around for link exchanges in the link exchange forum. ;)
