Where would I submit a site that is a TV Show Fan Weblog?

You meant on dmoz right ? It would be better before submissions that you got some guys to review it if its dmoz material cause everyone thinks " their site is dmoz material " as if dmoz was the start and the end of internet.

I was looking to add a category for an emmy nominated tv series.

I would also like to submit a bunch of quality resources for it as well (Official Sites & Unofficial Fan sites).

If anyone can help me, I would appreciate it.

ie. Do I need to email the editor to ask them to add the category? Thanks.

I went ahead and submitted to the Main Category as the Submission Page hinted at new Category addition if the TV Show wasn't there.

There are a lot of resourceful sites that can be added for this show and it would be nice to see them all listed.

Also, other popular shows from this channel are listed so I don't see why it wouldn't be added. (Category)

 

it wouldn't hurt to submit the other related sites as well instead of leaving it up to the editor to find. Or, why not volunteer to edit there? Use the sites for the examples on your app.

 

Yes good idea apply to become editors they are looking at the apps and most probably you will get accepted.

 

Can there be more than 1 editor in that main category? If so, I'll go ahead and do it. There are a lot of sites missing out of some of the tv shows categories that I frequently visit that I think would be great for that overall category.

 

I'd imagine that it's fine to have multiple editors for a category as I see multiple editors are listed on some of them.

I'm not sure how high up the category you're likely to get accepted - maybe in your application you can suggest the new category and ask to be an editor there to start? I just don't know.

Maybe a current editor with a bit of knowledge and experience with this can chime in and offer some suggestions?

 

I applied so we'll see what happens.

I provided 3 great resource sites with the application and also noted some suggestions to better the current categories.

It all depends who reads it. I don't see any negative reasons why my addition would be negative.

I wonder how I can get the TV Series added. The category is also missing many more. Disappointing.

 

Sorry to hear that. Maybe you can apply for one of the sub categories? Then work your way up?
