    Hey everyone,

Are there any tools or websites that track the amount of traffic a website is getting? For example, a tool or website that would let me put in a domain and would come back and tell me how many people visit that site?

TIA for any info you guys have.

Do you mean your own site or someone else's site?

Traffic stats for another persons site.

Is Alexa the only one out there, or are there more? I thought that there was another company, but I could be wrong. Thanks for reminding me about Alexa though, forgot all about them!

You can search for KWs on your competitors site plus "webalizer" and similar parameters. Some will have their logs wide open for you to view.

Yu can also track your competition's SERPs with the DP Keyword Tracking tool. Just put their domain in for the KWs you want to track.

I know about Alexa, but I seem to vaguely remember hearing about another solution like Alexa, but more comprehensive and larger. Jupiter Research is ringing a bell, but I'm not sure if thats correct or not.

stats1 would be a great site, but the results a strange/false IMHO. (I'm sure stats1 is based an Alexa).

Well, as near as I can tell Alexa is great but it just isn't comprehensive. It misses a lot of traffic simply by not having a toolbar for Firefox, Opera, Netscape, etc. users. Also, it doesn't work with AOL users.

Anyone heard of Media Metrix? It appears to be the tool I'm looking for, but I'd like to see if anyone here has used it, and if so what have the results been like?

Google for "Nielsen Search Engine" and you find nice stats...
